Things to do in San Diego
The question should not be "what is there to do in San Diego"? Rather, "how am I going to squeeze all of this in"?
Our beautiful bayside City, offers such a very large and diverse range of activities, it will be hard to choose from them all. "Diverse" being the key word! There is something for everyone here!
San Diego is one of the most popular destinations for not only tourists, but convention services. Too say "there is much to do" in San Diego, is an understatement!!
From outdoor sports, to over 70 miles of pristine beaches, local festivals, The "World famous San Diego Zoo" and Sea World, local clubs, museums and restaurants of every ethnicity.
Then there is the most important thing that seems to appeal to our guests....."Shopping, shopping, and more shopping!!" San Diego has 2 large Designer "Outlet Malls" that offer highly discounted designer merchandise! In addition to the numerous Malls, such as Horton Plaza (Downtown), Fashion and Mission Valley Malls.
Most of our students will arrive with one small luggage bag, and then purchase one to two more, much larger luggage bags to accommodate local purchases!
Keep in mind we are only 2.5 hours away from Los Angeles as well. Experience Beverly Hills, Santa Monica Pier, Venice Beach, Disney World and Universal Studios.
Please ask your Language School Activities Coordinator for excursion dates and prices to Los Angeles... as they normally offer several!
You will find that San Diego is a big city, with a small city "feel". Very easy to navigate, great public transportation and friendly residents!

Sea World
Don't be surprised if you find yourself in the presence of Shamu the Killer Whale, the parks "Star". Or your arms covered with goose bumps in 85° weather as your hand touches a dolphin. There's an incredible connection between humans and animals. Take a few deep breaths when you feel that feeling of awe move through you, and you'll carry that feeling home with you. Be forewarned that Shamu loves to splash guests in the closer seats during the show, known as "The Splash Zone". San Diego Zoo
The San Diego Zoo grew out of exotic animal exhibitions abandoned after the 1915 Panama-California Exposition. It is privately operated by the nonprofit Zooilogical Society of San Diego on 100 acres! The World Famous San Diego Zoo is a zoo in Balboa Park, housing over 3,700 animals of more than 650 species and subspecies. Coronado
A grand Victorian hotel dating back to 1888, Hotel Del Coronado rests on a peninsula just across the bay from San Diego. The 31-acre seaside resort has direct access to Coronado's 18 miles of beaches, collectively named the #2 beach in the United States by the Travel Channel. Learn more »
Gaslamp
The Gaslamp Quarter extends from Broadway to Harbor Drive, and from 4th to 6th Avenue, covering 16½ blocks. It includes 94 historic buildings, most of which were constructed in the Victorian Era, and are still in use with active tenants including restaurants, shops and nightclubs.
The Gaslamp Quarter draws a Cosmopolitan populace to its streets and is very popular for it's eateries, clubs and nightlife. The abundance of dining venues reveals international aspects of the city that provide people with a variety of dining options reflecting global cuisine.

Outlet Stores
Then there is the most important thing that seems to appeal to our guests....."Shopping, shopping, and more shopping!!" San Diego has 2 large Designer "Outlet Malls" that offer highly discounted designer merchandise! In addition to the numerous Malls, such as Horton Plaza (Downtown), Fashion and Mission Valley Malls. Shopping venues abound in the Quarter. While numerous clothing stores occupy storefront locations in the Quarter, adjacent "Horton Plaza is the larger shopping center accommodating numerous stores and is literally just a few blocks from most of the Downtown Language Schools.
San Diego is known for it's large centrally located Malls, featuring some of the largest designer and retail names in the shopping industry, as well as small and truly unique boutiques that offer outstanding and diverse merchandise. You may come with one piece of luggage.....but will be leaving with more!
